The grounds of Eton Centris in Quezon City lights up in a festive Christmas cheer during a meaningful and joyous Christmas Tree Lighting rites on November 17. Standing 32ft., the iconic Christmas tree serves as the soul and symbol of Christmas in the environ, spreading cheer and inspiration to shoppers as well as the retail and office tenants of Eton Centris.
Designed by celebrity event stylist Vince Uy, the Christmas decor of Eton Centris was inspired by the rock musical Starlight Express. Stars of different sizes can be seen in different areas of the complex, and at the center of Centris Walk, a Christmas train that bears the words Joy, Hope, and Peace serves as the focal element of the mall decor.
The activity kicked off with an opening performance by the Herald's Choir. Special guests who graced the tree lighting ceremony were Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, General Elmo San Diego, Eton Properties Deputy Chief Operating Officer Josefino Lucas, Eton , Properties First Vice President Marie Angeli Samala, Eton Properties Assistant Vice President for Marketing, PR and Corporate Communications Martha Herrera and Eton Centris AVP for Operations Marivic Santiago.
Performances by acclaimed artists, pop siren Chloe and The Company filled the evening with great music and holiday cheer. The lighting of the Christmas Tree here at Eton Centris has been both a tradition and celebration to us. It is our simple way of making Filipinos feel the spirit of Christmas and adding joy to their lives," said Marivic Santiago, Asst. Vice President for Operations of Eton Centris. "We enjoin everyone to bring family and friends to Eton Centris this holiday season. We have lined up a series of events including a Misa de Galio, weekend performances from the country's top bands, a nightly chorale serenade beginning on December 15, and a yearend concert on December 27."
